Rattenberg is the smallest town in Austria, with around 400 residents. On the evening of 3 july 2009 we visited Rattenberg, walking down Sudtirolerplatz and having food in one of the cafes there, Hackers. The town is surrounded by a wall, ensuring that it did not expand, and most of the buildings date from an 8-year period in the 1480's.
